Alex Rodriguez Robbed Of $500,000 Of Possessions In Rental Car Burglary – Report

Alex Rodriguez has been targeted in a rental car burglary, with thieves reportedly taking over $500,000 worth of possessions.

According to TMZ.com, items including jewelry, a laptop, a camera, and electronic equipment were taken from the vehicle the retired baseball player had been driving on Sunday.

The star had been filming for ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball during the San Francisco Giants’ game against the Philadelphia Phillies in San Francisco, California all day, and was reportedly having dinner at the time the incident took place.

While the publication claimed the items were worth over $500,000, the 44-year-old’s rep insisted the value had been “grossly exaggerated”. Another source later claimed the valuation was inaccurate.

In a separate statement, the sportsman claimed police officials had video footage of the perpetrators, adding: “I am saddened that several items that were of a personal nature and irreplaceable with sentimental value were taken.

I am encouraged that local law enforcement has security footage of the crime and are doing all they can to get the items back.”

The incident is being investigated by the San Francisco Police Department.
