The much-anticipated Wonder Woman 1984 and In The Heights are the latest films to be postponed due to concerns.
The sequel to 2017’s Wonder Woman has joined rescheduled blockbusters like No Time to D*e, Black Widow and Fast and Furious 9 and will now hit screens in mid-August.
The film’s original release date was 5 June (20).
“When we greenlit WW 1984 it was with every intention to be viewed on the big screen and are excited to announce that Warner Bros.
Pictures will be bringing the film to theaters on August 14th,” Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group Chairman Toby Emmerich said in a statement. “We hope the world will be in a safer and healthier place by then.”
Meanwhile, the movie adaptation of Broadway show In the Heights has also been removed from the studio’s upcoming release slate. Initially scheduled for 26 June (20), it has been postponed indefinitely.
